With two Sydney Harbour locations we provide convenient on the water service for our many clients.

Chapman Marine Group Head Office is located at Rose Bay Marina, Rose Bay in the Eastern Suburbs while our Birkenhead Point Marina facilities are in the Inner West suburb of Drummoyne.

In 2009 Chapman Marine Group will open a 200 square meter Sydney Boat House display centre adjacent to the new 670 boat dry stack facility being built by Rozelle Bay Pty Ltd. The dry stack operation will offer a convenient launch and retrieval service for boats up to 12 meters.

FINANCE FOR YOUR BOAT

Chapman Marine Group can facilitate the finance and approval for the boat you are buying. We organize solutions for all pleasure boats: new, used boat or upgrade finance. Our Boat specialist will source and present the most suitable finance solution to meet your requirements. We can prepare all the paperwork for your signature, including arranging invoices and insurance.

INSURANCE WITH CLUB MARINE

Chapman Marine Group are Authorised Agents for Club Marine and are able to ensure that your boat has insurance cover from the time you take possession. Club Marine Boat Insurance offers protection if your craft suffers accidental loss or damage, cover for death or injury to other people or damage to their property. The Club Marine policy offers coverage of items that other insurance companies may charge extra for and are a great supported of our industry.

CHAPMAN MARINE GROUP BROKERAGE

Chapman Marine Group sell a wide range of prestige pre owned vessels. Prior to listing, our experienced staff fully inspect all vessels and prepare a list of specifications, options and inventory for each boat. We welcome independent inspections from marine surveyors and offer a range of services to ensure that any modifications made or options you may wish to include are professionally fitted.

Chapman Marine Group, CEO, Mark Chapman is a founding board member of the Marine Brokers Association.( Boating Industry Association of NSW)

The Marine Brokers Association (MBA), a division of the Boating Industry Association of NSW (BIA), was established in 2003 to identify and grant accreditation to professional marine brokers in recognition of their training and experience. Accredited marine brokers are pledged to the BIA 'Code of Ethics' and 'Code of Practice', ensuring that you, the customer, are treated fairly and ethically. For professional advice on buying or selling a boat, Chapman Marine Group is an accredited MBA member and we are committed to providing expert guidance throughout the boat buying and selling experience.

We recognize that we have the inherited responsibility to protect our environment for future generations to enjoy. As long term members of the BIA we would encourage you to read their "Code of Conduct"

WHAT THE BIA RECOMMENDS TO BOAT USER:

The BIA has a Code of Practice, which identifies boat user responsibilities. The Code states as follows:

Protecting the environment comes naturally to most boaters because clean water is the foundation of enjoyable boating. BIA Members encourage their customers and boat owners to be environmentally responsible by following these guidelines:-

YOUR ROLE IN PRESERVING THE ENVIRONMENT:

Having regard to environmental responsibility, boat owners:-

• Shall be encouraged to take steps to ensure that any potential pollution risks are minimised.
• Shall use their best efforts to educate fellow boaters to support the restoration and protection of our marine environment.
• Shall be encouraged to maintain or improve our water quality for all boat users by compliance with all environmental laws and regulations in operation.
• Will observe the regulations of usage of the waterways by Government authorities, marinas and boatsheds.
• Will not automatically or otherwise drain the engine bilge, unless bilge water is passed through a filter, or other control measure to ensure no pollution of waters, and will at all times observe the "strict no discharge" policy of marinas.
• Will ensure no petroleum product residue be pumped overboard. Use of petroleum absorbent material which can be appropriately disposed of on land is recommended.
• Will be encouraged to use environmentally compatible products in the operation and maintenance of their vessels.
• Will use oil-absorbing materials in the bilge areas of all boats with inboard engines and undertake to examine these materials at least once a month and replace as necessary and dispose of them in accordance with petroleum disposal regulations.
• Will be encouraged to install fuel-air separators on air vents or tank stems of inboard fuel tanks to reduce the amount of fuel spilled onto the surface water during fuelling of boats.
• Will at all times prevent fuel spills and be knowledgeable regarding how best to treat any accidental spill, to maximise safety and minimise environmental harm.
• Will prevent the contamination or waterways whilst working on or maintaining their craft.
• Will prevent and discourage in water hull cleaning or any other underwater process that is likely to remove anti-fouling or any other deleterious material to the marine environment.
  
• Will act at all times to protect the waterways from senseless and harmful dumping by returning all garbage and other waste to shore for proper disposal or recycling and when possible, clean up after others who are less thoughtful.
  
• Will be aware of the effect of noise, smoke and odours generated by their vessels and activities of those around them.
  
• Will keep motors efficiently tuned, and avoid excessive idling and engine noise while at marinas or in the vicinity of residential property.
  
• Will prevent unacceptable wake and propeller wash, especially in the vicinity of sensitive or erodible shores, marinas and waterway users.

When dealing with any of the boating industry groups, look for the current BIA membership certificates and signage which indicates the members understanding and active involvement in practising the Code and encouraging environmental preservation.
